Abstract

Fifteen species of Grimmia, 5 of Schistidium, 5 of Racomitrium, and 1 of Coscinodon, Hydro-grimmia, Indusiella, and Jaffueliobryum are reported for Altai. Brief descriptions, illustration, keys for identification, distinguishing characters and comments on species distribution are provided for all species. Seven species and two genera, Hydrogrimmia and Indusiella, are reported as new for Altai.
