Abstract

The authors present a scheme that combines original and literature data on hormonal control of shoot/root biomass rate. Accumulation of ABK - well-known response on unfavourable influence - can play role of initiator or at least an indicator of processes lead to the decrease of cytokinin concentration. The latter can result the changes in auxin supply. Realization of this hormonal reaction under stress condition can be a reason of biomass redistribution for roots, that is important compensate reaction that determines the survival of organism in unfavourable environment. Presented scheme is an attempt to integrate separate data on participation of different hormones in regulation of stress reaction in plant.
