Abstract

The principles of structure and algorithms are proposed for the model of dynamic of all-aged multispecies forest. The model takes into account the biological characters of the species and is based on the conception of onthogenesis discretisation (the division on onthogenetic states). Main limitation factors are photosynthetic radiation and available space for growth for each individual of tree layer. The model consists of two parts: the model of individual development under competition and the model of tree sinusia of forest coenosis. The main peculiarity of the model is that each individual is approximated as a set of parallelepipeds that allows to model spatial (vertical and horizontal) structure of tree canopy. Accounting the location of individuals it is possible to calculate the heterogeneity of light area and the location of individuals in subordinate layers. The model allows to imitate both the processes of natural development and the development under influence of cuttings, random periodical attrition and other disturbances. The results of modelling of one-, two- and three-species all-aged coenosis are described. The structure of the canopy in the stable state (climax imitation) is shown. The influence of some outer factors and species characters on some data controlled by the model is analysed. The results of modelling and some natural observations are compared for some sets of model parameters.
